In
allegato si riporta un testo di protesta da indirizzare al Time (letters@time.com
) riguardo la
diffusione del DVD negazionista e si segnala inoltre la petizione da sottoscrivere
che sul sito http://www.zavarian.org/.
Dear
editorial staff,
I am writing to you concerning the DVD included in Time Magazine's current issue you sent to all your subscribers. A friend of mine received it.
In this DVD, there are one or two matters which i feel i should bring to your
attention.
During
more than one hour, the Armenian genocide is denied and Armenians are accused of having committed "a Turkish genocide". Moreover, Armenians
are described as "terrorists" and "fascists".
It
is simply disgusting ! What is their guilt ? Seeking redress ?
The Armenian genocide has officially been recognized by the United Nations, the European parliament and many states like
France, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Poland, Lebanon, Russia,
Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Canada, Argentina, Uruguay and the Vatican City.
Moreover, 38 states of the USA, the Australian state of New South Wales and the greatest historians in the world have recognized it too.
During the Armenian genocide, more than 1.5 million of Armenian civilians were massacred, beheaded, tortured, raped and ripped up by Turkish soldiers.
90 years after, Turkey still occupies the greater part of ancient Armenia, denies the Armenian genocide, maintains a negationnist policy and spreads it
throughout the world.
Time Magazine's matters are very important because by sending this DVD to all its subscribers, Time Magazine could be impeached for negationnism.
Legal proceedings could be started.
That's why by way of moral redress, Time Magazine could send an apologetic letter to all its subscribers concerning all the mistaken informations about
the Armenian genocide contained in the DVD as soon as possible.
Moreover, Time Magazine could send a DVD to all its subscribers in which there would be the report which was devoted to the Armenian genocide on ABC
(http://www.theforgotten.org/site/intro_eng.html)
or Atom Egoyan's film "Ararat" as soon as possible in order to restore the truth.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours
faithfully
